Xenoblade Chronicles 1, Xenoblade Chronicles X, then Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in a distant third position for me (I didn’t get on with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, unnecessarily complicated, didn’t like the characters ,and the only one I didn’t finish). I played it on the Wii and it was the best Japanese role-player I’d played until I played the remaster on the Switch. If you liked Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Wii U I’m pretty sure you’ll like Xenoblade Chronicles 1. RE: Mohammed Salah’s Underbox post about the Xenoblade Chronicles series. Ubisoft are never usually shy about borrowing other people’s ideas but here they seem to be being a bit slow on the uptake and it’s a shame. I did like Odyssey quite bit but I had the misfortune of playing Valhalla after Elden Ring and, let me tell you, there is no comparison. Perhaps they will to some degree but not going all the way back to their old style, it seems. For me that was a far better Assassin’s Creed game than Valhalla and I was hoping Ubisoft would take some influence form its success. What I am curious about is if they do a Japanese setting and then we get to make a comparison with Ghost Of Tsushima. They’ve already said future games will keep the role-playing style so I’m automatically less interested. I’m not sure I get the point of the next Assassin’s Creed being back to the basics if straight after that they’re making this giant live service game that is Infinity. Maybe Microsoft with all their new companies? I don’t know, would anyone seriously say Bethesda or Activision were the best developers in the world? So I do think Nintendo still clinch it, they’ve put out so many great games in so many different genres over the years that it would take something very special to beat them. If it’s not Sony then who? Rockstar? BioWare? Capcom? They all put out great stuff but so much of it is so similar.įromSoftware are the current media darlings, and for very good reasons, but I don’t think even they would pretend that variety is what they’re good at. I’m not even sure who would be second to them.

Sony games all tend to be very similar in gameplay style and tone but Nintendo can go from sports games to silly platformers to serious dramas and I don’t think there’s anyone else like that in gaming.

But here's hoping the patches keep on coming, because I'd really love to get stuck into the Marvel Ultimate Alliance ports once they're in tip-top shape.Since things have been quiet for years now, with even Sony not having had anything for a while now, I wonder if Nintendo is still the easy nomination for best developer that they used to be? It’s hard to say with nobody running at full steam at the moment but I think they are, based on not just quality but variety.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE PC STEAM DLC FREE
We are still working on making the DLC for the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance available in the coming weeks as a free update for everyone who has purchased the title on these platforms alone or as part of the bundle.

And such fixes are coming, according to this report on Eurogamer, as well as some free DLC: Here's a statement: "Both the standalone and bundled versions of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 feature all of its original DLC. A quick search on the web will reveal a smattering of complaints about the state that Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and its sequel were re-released in on modern consoles and PC, so I suppose it's no surprise that Activision and developer Zoë Mode have worked overtime to get some fixes out the door.
